Grotesque Stone Mask

This artwork came from a grotesque, weathered yard piece from a friend's neighbor's. In order to give myself the greatest head start possible on this model, I used my phone to capture a base scan using the Polycam app. I took around 300 pictures, processed a mesh in-app, and imported it into Maya as an .fbx to further clean up. I then brought the model into Zbrush to properly sculpt it at around 1.6m polys. I then used Zremesher + reprojection to create my low-poly mesh of around 5,000 polys. I UV-unwrapped within Maya for a single 2048p map. Textures were done entirely within Substance Painter, and final renders were done in Marmoset.
